I always find the service here brilliant. I have used this store for eye tests, purchase of glasses and contact lenses for many years. I have never had an issue with them and find them quite reasonably priced with a good selection. The staff are friendly and for me the contract lens team always stand out, making me feel valued and never rushed, with my options being clearly explained. My only minor negative is they sometimes run late with appointments, but I always allow for this.

I am a long-time customer on a Specsavers lens scheme. One evening a few months ago, my contact lens split, and part of it remained in my eye. Unfortunately, it was too late in the evening to see an optician to check my eye as they were closed. By the morning, my eyelid had swollen, and it was infected, so I needed to see someone ASAP to check my eye in case part of the split lens was in my eye. I arrived at the opening time of my local branch to urgently request an appointment. The nice receptionist fitted me in for an emergency appointment an hour later. I was so relieved to be fitted in so quickly. After returning later, I was seen by an assistant who carried out an OCT scan. Then, I saw the optician called Sarah, who was so helpful. She was very professional and so reassuring as I was worrying in case I had done lasting damage to my eye. She reassured me that the eye was capable of healing quickly and that she'd apply a special dye in my eye to show any foreign object in my eye. She was so thorough, gently searching in my eye for the missing lens. She found it and gently removed it. What a relief. It was a eureka moment. Lol Sarah gave me advice on aftercare and to ask for her again, if my eye was no better in a few days. Thankfully, it healed very quickly. Thank you so much, Sarah, for all your help and being very gentle and reassuring.

My husband had an appointment with Aarti yesterday for a sight test. She did a very thorough test, spending a significant amount of time, talking it all through with us. Sadly, the news she had to tell us was not good news, and we will have to make adjustments as a result. Aarti handled it all so well, with a tremendous amount of kindness and sympathy.
